OBITUARY
Wilmateen Porter Turner was born January 22, 1956 to the late Willie Lee Burnam SR and Catherine Porter in Macon County, Georgia. At an early age, she joined the Traveler's Rest C.M.E. Church where she served on the Usher Board. She was educated in the public school system of Macon County; She was employed with the Macon County BOE as a Cook until her health failed. On Saturday, June 12, 2010, Wilmateen Porter Turner departed this earthly life peacefully at her home.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving companion; Eugene Turner Sr. of Montezuma, GA, four devoted children, Xavier L. Turner (LyTrail Foster), Montezuma, GA, Eugene Turner Jr. (Anita Rice-Chiles), Greenville, SC, Jovita L. Turner (Dexter Foster) Unadilla, GA and Masie D. Larry of Montezuma, GA. Siblings: Cynthia L. Owens (Rev. A.L. Owens) of Cleveland, OH, Joan P. Haugabook, Katheryn Simmons of Montezuma, GA, James K. Porter (Cheryl) of Oglethorpe, GA, Laura L. Porter of Macon, GA, Mary L. Cross, Larry Burnam of Atlanta, GA, Willie M. Smith, Linden, N.J., Gerald Burnam (Shelia) of Montezuma, GA, Curtis Reese (Rashika) of Oglethorpe and Larry McKenzie (Cheryl) of Lagrange, GA. Aunts and Uncles: Donald (Rochelle) Jackson of Oglethorpe, GA, Diane Porter of McDonough, GA and Mary P. Haslewood of OH.
