Homegoing Celebration For Mrs. Lizzie Pearl Wade

Creek Pastor Pastor Eddie Oliver, Officiating Obituary Mrs. Lizzie Pearl Clark Wade “Never Would Have Made It” This world is the land of the dying; the next is the land of the living death holding the golden key that opens the palace to eternity. Sister Lizzie Pearl was born on December 1, 1921 in Sumter County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Chester Arthur and the late Mrs. Willie Bill McDonald Clark. She went to meet her Lord at her home on Saturday March 7, 2009. Lizzie Pearl committed herself to the Lord’s service early in her life at Old Shady Grove Baptist Church, under the Pastorate of the late Rev. Wallace Davis. There she served on the Usher Board. She received her education at Shady Grove Rosenwald School and Staley High School in Americus, Georgia. She was Salutatorian of her graduating class. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Bural Thomas Wade on May 10. 1939. This union was blessed with ten children. She, with her husband moved her membership to Mountain Creek A.M.E. Church. “Lizzie Pearl” sang in the choir and served faithfully on the Board of Trustees. She was Mother of the church and a Mother to all who knew her. Pearl was a giving, loving, kind, gentle and sweet person. She loved everyone and everyone love her. She was a God-fearing virtuous woman, who raised her children, grandchildren, and great-grands in the fear of the Lord. She was a blessing to all who knew her. She was always there to lend a helping hand. Pearl demonstrated a genuine love for her family and her fellow man. Pearl was a woman of profound strength and courage. She leaves to cherish her memories ten children: Betty Dean of Orlando, Florida, Sara (A.J) Mills, Ernestine (Willie) Colbert, Bural Wade of Andersonville, Georgia, Carolyn (Arthur) Cooper Leslie Georgia, Dr. Oneida (Arthur) Ingram, Michael Earl (Annie) Wade of Americus Georgia, Brenda (Melville) Griffin, April Wade of Atlanta Georgia and Amanda (Tony) Cooper of Dublin Georgia; 29 grandchildren including 2 devoted grand-daughters: Ayada Ingram and Mary Sims, 42 great-grand children, 6 great-great grand; one sister, Rosa Patterson of Americus, Georgia and one brother, David (Thelma) Clark North Port. Florida. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Senior Citizens friends at Lenora Lambert, and countless caring and supporting friends which include a caregiver John Allen. A friend she considered as a sister, Hattie Mae Rhodes, a road-buddy Jessie Brown and a comforter Annie Davis. Several other relatives and friends also survive. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Mt. Creek A.M.E. Church Building Fund in the name of Lizzie Pearl Wade. Donations can be mailed to: 323 W.
