OBITUARY
Mr. Solomon Calloway, Jr.
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted
Ecclesiastes 3:1-4.
Mr. Solomon Calloway, Jr. was born March 15, 1949 in Sumter Co. GA to the late Solomon Calloway Sr. and the late Susie Calloway. He worked for several years as a concrete finisher. Mr. Solomon Calloway, Jr. died on Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Sumter Regional Hospital.
Left to cherish his memory is his companion of 26 years Ms. Queen Bowens; two sons: Tavarus Calloway and Reginald Calloway both of Miami, Florida; three brothers: Joe Willie (Ethel) Calloway, Jimmy Calloway and Danny (Vera) Dorsey all of Americus, Georgia; five sisters: Lilly Bell Malone of Albany, Georgia, Mary Emma (Donald) Prince, Lilly Pearl (Raymond) Register, Tracey (Benjamin) Smith, & Karen Walters all of Americus, Georgia; two aunts: Georgia Johnson and Catherine Johnson both of Rochester, New York; brothers & sisters-in-law, Tracy Stewart of Columbia, South Carolina, Arthur (Emma) Goodwin of Jacksonville, Florida, Lynn Bowens and Wanda (Willie) Nelson all of Americus, Georgia; one grandchild, Mariah Calloway of Miami, Florida. Several other relatives and friends also survive.
