Chapel of West's Mortuary Americus, Georgia Obituary Mr. Curtis Jackson affectionately known as "C.J." was born in Sumter County Georgia to the late Mr. Andrew & Mrs. Ella Goody Jackson. He was married to Mrs. Martha Ellen Jackson who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Annie Rose and Ruthie Jackson, five brothers: Tellis, Carl, Willie, James and George Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving sister Dannie Mae Snipes of Plains, Georgia: eight nieces: Mae Francis Lockett, Emma Lundy and Mary Jane Jackson all of Plains, Georgia, Josephine Smith, Ella Harvey, Catherine Perry and Virginia Wilson all of Americus, Georgia and Emma Ruth Martin of Atlanta, Georgia; seven nephews including a devoted nephew Wilford Lockett of Ideal, Georgia, Robert Walters and Andrew Jackson both of Americus, Georgia, Johnny B. Jackson of Plains, Georgia, William Jackson of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Clyde Monts of Hartford, Connecticut, and Kenneth Wilson of Americus, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Jessie Wilson of Americus, Georgia. Several other relatives and friends also survive.
