Funeral Services For Mr. Edgar T. Barker, Sr.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints South Lee Street Americus, Georgia OBITUARY Mr. Edgar Barker was born in Americus, Sumter County, GA on Jan. 11, 1950 to Mrs. Ella Williams Barker and the late Mr. John T. Barker. He attended the public schools of Sumter County, Georgia. He was a self-employed contractor and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Barker died on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Phoebe Putney Memorial hospital in Albany, Georgia. In addition to his mother, Mrs. Ella Barker of Americus, Georgia, he leaves to cherish his memories four sons: Charles (Senetra) Barker, Edgar T. Barker, Jr. Jose’ Barker all of Decatur, Georgia, and Lamar (Patricia) Barker of Ellaville, Georgia; 7 Sisters; Lee Ella Harris, Diane (Ira) Carter, JoAnn Barker, Elizabeth (Clyde) Banner, Loretta (Johnny) McDonald, Loraine Barker, and Tammie (Arthur) Patillo all of Americus, Georgia; five Brothers: Johnny Barker, Arthur Barker both of Americus, Georgia, Clarence (Kimberly) Barker of Riverdale, Georgia, Charlie (Charmaine) Barker of Griffin, Georgia, Timmy (Teresa) Barker of Conyers, Georgia and Rodney Barker of Texas; three Aunts: Hattie Jones of Stratford Connecticutt, Butha Mae Walton, and Lillie Mae Bishop both of Americus, Georgia: six grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including three special friends Annie Ruth Mathis, James Jackson, and Steven Mobley.
