Funeral Services For Mr. Eddie Lee Smith

Daniel Clinton, Officiating OBITUARY Mr. Eddie Lee Smith was born on August 19, 1929 in Sumter County, Georgia to Ethel Lowe Smith Nelson and Albert Smith. He attended public schools in Americus and graduated from Staley High School. He also attended Albany Technical School. Mr. Smith joined the United States Army on October 10, 1950 and served this country honorably during the Korean War. He was also stationed in Germany. At an early age he joined Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife Mrs. Annie Mae Smith of Americus, Georgia; three daughters: Miss Ann fuller, Bridgeport, Conn., Ms. Sharon Smith, Philadelphia Pennsylvania and Ms. Cheryl Whitehead, Americus Georgia; five sons: Mr. Calvin Smith, Wade Smith, Mr. Dennis Smith, Eddie Smith Jr., all of Philadelphia Pennsylvania and Mr. Eddie Charles (Barbara) Whitehead of Americus, Georgia. Twenty grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends survive.
