Funeral Services For Mrs. Rosa Mae Patterson

Jessie Watts, Officiating OBITUARY Sister Rosa Mae Patterson, lovingly known to everyone as “Auntee”, was born on February 3, 1928 in Sumter County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Chester Arthur Clark and the late Mrs. Willie Bell McDonald Clark. Rosa committed herself to the Lord’s service early in her life at Old Shady Grove Baptist Church. There she served on the Usher Board and later became Mother of the church. She received her education at Shady Grove Rosenwald School and Staley High School in Americus, Georgia. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Frank Patterson, Sr. and this union was blessed with eight children. “Auntee went home to meet her Lord Thursday July 9, 2009 at the Magnolia Nursing Center. Three siblings that preceded her In death Lizzie Pearl, Perry and Chester Arthur She leaves to cherish her memories eight children: Barbara (late Walter) Terry of Atlanta, Georgia, Lewis (late Annie Ruth) Hawkins, Frank Patterson, Jr., James (Gracie) Patterson of Americus, Georgia, Debra (John) Hall of Enterprise, Alabama, Patricia Jackson, Gregory (Joyce) Patterson, Reginald (LaSandra) Patterson of Americus, Georgia; 2 devoted daughters Nettle Pearl (Roy) Sallett of Jacksonville, Florida and Viola (Nathaniel) Artis of North Carolina; 27 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one brother, David (Thelma) Clark of North Port, Florida, A host of nieces, two nephews, cousins, Senior Citizens friends at Lenora Lambert Center; members of The Social Hour Club. Close friends Ozzie Calloway, Essie Tookes, and Annie Ruth Davis. Several other relatives and friends also survive.
