Funeral Services For Mr. Felton Smith  Saturday, March 13, 2010 11:00 A.M. St. Luke Baptist Church Americus, Georgia Rev. John Thomas, Officiating OBITUARY Mr. Felton Smith was born March 12, 1916 in Americus, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Lizzie Smith. He was married to the late Irene Ross Smith. He retired from the Sumter County public school system after 25 years of dedicated service. Mr. Smith died on March 8, 2010 at the Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia He leaves to mourn his passing: two daughters: Rosa B. Hill of Americus, Georgia and Janie Young (Eddie) of Laurel Maryland; two sisters: Salemia Green (Allen) and Genett Munns, both of Americus, Georgia; one brother Johnny Smith of Americus, Georgia; one brother-in-law Deacon Hiawatha Ross of Americus, Georgia; eleven grandchildren, seven of whom he raised as his own: David Hawkins, Janice Mosley, Glinda Bing (Robert), Joy Harden (Derrick), Tracie Pitts (Robert), Mecca Bacon (Julius) Americus, Georgia and Carolyn Bacon (Greg) Griffin, Georgia; sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive including devoted friends Dannie Mae Snipes, John Laster, Rick and Gussie Franklin.
