Funeral Services For Mr. Arthur Lee Lembrick, Jr.

Leon Pace, Officiating Interment: Eastview Cemetery OBITUARY Mr. Arthur Lembrick, Jr. was born in Sumter County, Georgia on May 19, 1936 to the late Mr. Arthur Lee Lembrick, Sr. and Mrs. Berdia Mae Hall Lembrick. He attended the public schools of Sumter County, and was a graduate of A.S. Staley High School. He was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where he joined at the age of 17 under the leadership of Rev. Wilson. He was a dedicated member of the Welcome Masonic Lodge. He was employed for over 30 years as a commercial truck driver. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lembrick is proceeded in death by 6 siblings; Willie James, Carrie Bell, Loretta, Corena, Carlton, and Ozie. Mr. Lembrick died on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. He leaves a legacy of fond memories to his companion of 30 years, Ms Bettie M. Griffin; five children: Marcus C. (Daphane) Lembrick, Deborah Lembrick, Vicki Lembrick, Gary Lembrick, Christopher (Lashonda) Lembrick all of Americus, GA; two sisters: Berdia Winn of Americus, GA and Pearline Lembrick of Atlanta, GA; one brother: John Lembrick of Ideal, GA; one step sister: Susie Lee Johnson of Americus, GA.; one uncle: Lewis Lembrick of Elizabeth, NJ; a devoted cousin: Gene Lembrick of Hartford, CT; two step-sons: Essie B. (Sheila) Davis and Kerry B. (Kerrie) Davis both of Americus, GA; 26 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; two devoted care givers: Bruce Wafford and Edmond Thomas both of Americus; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
