Funeral Services For Mrs. Ella Mae Sherten

Mrs. Ella Mae Ross Sherten was born on December 17, 1944 to the late Mitchell Ross and the late Ludie Mae Harvey Ross in Taylor County, Georgia. She grew up and attended the public schools of Taylor County. Ella was a lover of life and lived it to the fullest. To know Ella was to love her, she had a radiant spirit that reached out to everyone she met. Ella spent many years as a homemaker and was a lover of arts and crafts. During her young life she met and married the love of her life Robert Lewis Sherten who preceded her in death. Ella was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. The driving force in Ella’s life was her family who she loved dearly. The road for Ella was not an easy one, but she fought a good fight to the end. The final battle for Ella was fought on Friday, October 16, 2009 when she entered into the realms of eternal rest at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia. Ella leaves a life long legacy of hard work, and fond memories that will be cherished by her family and friends. Those left to keep her memory alive are her loving children, Monica Sherten, Tameka Sherten, Shanta Sherten, Nichole (Danny) Myles, and Devoures Sherten, all of Atlanta. Georgia, Lavern Sherten and Maxine Sherten, both of Butler, Georgia; siblings, James Thomas (Jen) Ross, of Miami, Florida, Earnestine Gardner, of Atlanta, Georgia, Willie Mae Ross Bakon, of Roberta, Georgia, Lizzie Rene Ross Hodges, Willie (Mary) Ross, Alden Ross, all of Butler, Georgia; sisters and brothers - in - law, Mary Sherten, and Ethel (Robert) Hall both of Atlanta. Georgia. Jesse (Henry) Mimer, of Griffm, Georgia; thirteen (13) grandchildren, three (3) great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will morn her passing.
