Obituary
Mrs. Deffie Daniel Harris was born on June 8, 1926 to the late Will and Emma Ball Daniel in Macon County, Georgia. Deffie was educated at the Flint River Farm School. At an early age, she joined the New Hope Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia.
On Monday, October 26, 2009, Deffie was granted well-deserved eternal rest at the Flint River Community Hospital. We loved her, but God loved her best! Deffie was the mother of four children; two preceded her in death, Willie King and James Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted daughter and son: Minnie McDonald and John Wesley Daniel (Elizabeth) of Oglethorpe, Georgia; eight grandchildren: Minnie Howard (Willie), Stacey Walton (Charles), Johnny McDonald, Jonquavis Daniel, Brandon Daniel, Casstine Passmore, James Harris, Jr. and Edward Collier; eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two siblings, Mary Jane Tookes and Eddie Thornton (Lillie Bell) of Montezuma, Georgia; her favorite cousin, Eugenia West McRoy; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
