Cemetery OBITUARY Mrs. Mamie Jessie Ferguson Mrs. Mamie Jessie Ferguson was born on July 2, 1943 in Sumter County, Georgia to the late Mamie Shack Jessie and the late Andrew Jessie, Sr. At an early age she moved to Trenton, New Jersey where she attended school and joined the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church. She was employed at General Motors for several years until her health failed. In 1974 she moved backed to Americus and Joined the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church where she served as an usher. Mrs. Ferguson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the Lillian G. Carter Nursing Center in Plains, Georgia. She leaves to cherish her memory, two children: Neal Howard Jessie of Winder, GA and Jermaine (Nicole Hudson) Ferguson of Albany, GA; one sister, Mrs. Margie Jackson of Americus, GA; two brothers: Andrew (Easter) Jessie, Jr. and James Jessie both of Americus, GA; one aunt, Mrs. Annie Lou Bloomfield of Trenton, NJ; five grandchildren: Jasmine Jessie, Britney Jessie, Janeisha Ferguson all of Americus, GA, Jermaine Ferguson of Dawson, GA and Shaquille Jessie Bird and Carrie Price who she raised as her own; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Willie F.) Jessie Smith, Anthony Jackson of Allentown, PA and Loretta Thomas of Lake Wales, FL and several other relatives and friends also survive.
