Mary Anna Reese (aka “Anna”) daughter of the late Mr. Sandy Harris and Mrs. Beulah Harris was born February 18, 1917 in Macon County, Georgia. She was one of three children born to Brother and Sister Harris.
Sister Anna joined the Piney Grove Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until her health failed. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Taylor Reese, Sr. She was the mother of two children, Taylor, Jr. (Susan) and Andersen (Geneva), both preceded her in death.
She departed this life mid morning on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2009, at the Ft Lauderdale Memorial Hospital in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. Left to cherish her memory is her loving brother, Fred Harris of Jacksonville, Florida. Her Step-Son Curtis (Zella Reese). Her sons gave her thirteen grandchildren; Anthony (Sharon Reese) who took care of her in her last days, Marilyn, Alfred, Christopher (Renee Reese), Janice, Sharon, Cynthia, Annette, Bernard, Trent, Jennie, and Vickie; 22 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; 4 great-great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
