Obituary

Mr. Homer Lee Patillo, Jr. was born in Americus, Georgia on January 31, 1950 to the late Ms. Lula May Carter and the late Homer Lee Patillo, Sr. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He was a member of the Eastview Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mrs. Dollie May Patillo. Homer died on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the Lillian Carter Nursing Center in Plains, Georgia.

 

He will always and forever be remembered for his great sense of humor, his great guitar music and his good dancing that made people smile.

 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his brother Mr. Willie James Patillo (Elizabeth Annette Peoples) of Americus, Georgia; his sister, Annie Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Lyles of Americus, Georgia; three sisters-in-law: Josephine (Rick) Tyson of Albany, Georgia, Alice Williams (Chester Alexander), and Minnie Lyles all of Americus, Georgia; five brothers-in-law: Ben (Essie) Lyles, Jeremiah (Carolyn) Lyles, Obbie (Ellovis) Lyles all of Americus, Georgia, Brian Cochran of Johnstown, PA and Kenneth Cochran of Gwinette, PA; four step children: Charles Williams, Tameka (Jay) Law all of Albany, Georgia, Jeffery (Coretta) Williams, and Rodney Allen all of Americus, Georgia; three nephews: Willie James Patillo, Jr. Timothy (Taxi) Lee Patillo all of Americus, Georgia and Sedrick Cochran of Johnston, PA.; three nieces: Latonya Peeples, Glenetta (moosye) Peoples and Coneshia Boynton all of Americus, Georgia. Several other relatives and friends also survive
