Funeral Services For Mrs. Debra Fobbs

First Salem Baptist Church Montezuma, Georgia Interment Champ Waters Cemetery Obituary Mrs. Debra Ann Mann Fobbs was born July 17, 1963 to the parentage of Mr. James C. and Mrs. Louella Grant Mann. She was the granddaughter of the late Reverend John H. and Mrs. Alberta Rackley Mann, Ms. Gladys B. Grant and the late Mr. Claude Grant, Sr. Debra was the second of eight children born to Mr. and Mrs. Mann. She was preceded in death by one brother, Mr. James Donnell Mann, Sr. Debra attended the Macon County public school system and was a member of First Salem Missionary Baptist Church, joining under the leadership of the late Reverend Hatchet. She worked several jobs before going into business for herself as an outstanding beautician. In 1980 Debra married Mr. Larry Fobbs and moved to Atlanta, Georgia briefly before returning to her hometown of Montezuma. Debra was known for making her presence known wherever she was. She was very talkative, full of life, and very, very direct. She could fill any room with love and happiness. On Tuesday, January 19, 2010, an angel entered her room at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and said, “No more pain, no more suffering. Job well done, come unto me and rest”. Debra answered, leaving her earthly home behind and moving into her Heavenly Mansion. “Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.” Left to celebrate her precious memories are her loving children: DeJuan Roderickous Mann and Larry Deon Fobbs both of Montezuma, Georgia and Gabrietta LaTosha Fobbs of Americus, Georgia; her sunshine and joy, her granddaughter My’Dashia Davis; her caring parents: Mr. James C. and Mrs. Louella Mann of Montezuma, Georgia; her devoted siblings: Brenda Mann, Sandra Mann, Shuwand Mann, Eric Mann, Antonio Mann and Felix Mann all of Montezuma, Georgia; her precious grandmother, Mrs. Gladys Grant of Montezuma, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Irene Mann and Shondra Barron; aunts and uncles: Betty Carr, Inez (Alonzo) Woolfork, Betty (D. Eddie) Joiner, Betty Mann, Mae Bertha Jones, Larry Grant, John H. (Viola) Mann, Jr., Earlvin (Pearl) Mann,Sr., Claude Grant, Earl (Minnie) Mann, Sr., Willie (Kathy) Mann, and Willie (Annie) Grant; great aunts and uncles: Carrie Rackley, Sarah (Fred) Hannor, Christine Mann, Marilyn Mann, Dorothy Mann, Henry Mann, Clarence (Rosa) Thomas and Fannie (Jerome) Hannor; her nieces and nephews including her very special nephew, Carl D. Akine and a nephew she cared for as her own, Tywann M. Mann; Goddaughter, Aa’Nihyah Joiner; a host of other loving relatives and sorrowing friends.
