OUR SERVICES EMBALMING One of the earliest decisions you will face is in regard to embalming. Embalming is the scientific preparation of the remains of the deceased. The result of embalming is a temporary preservation of the remains, so as to impart a natural appearance, and permit viewing of the remains for quite some time following death. Embalming is not required by any laws or regulations, except in certain special circumstances. If these circumstances do apply, the reason will be fully explained to you.BURIAL OR CREMATION While the majority of our community continues to choose burial as their preferred final disposition, cremation is growing in popularity in many areas. Most of the same memorial options are available to you, no matter which method you choose. Many people continue to opt for a traditional visitation, viewing and funeral service, and follow those services with cremation as opposed to burial. The cremains may then be placed in an urn and retained, the urn may be interred or the cremains may be scattered in a favorite location. With either option, some cemetery or crematory regulations may apply, and, if so, they will be completely explained. SERVICE LOCATION A funeral service, memorial service or other celebration of life may be held in our facility, a church, at the graveside or any other location you may choose, within the limits of practicality.
