JULIANNE S. MILLER, FLAGSTAFF, AZ
Julianne S. Miller died 15 July 2009 at the Flagstaff Medical Center. She was born in Haynesville LA and grew up mostly in Baton Rouge. She graduated from LSU in 1952 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Sciences. She was a member of Delta Zeta sorority.
She worked from 1953 - 1957 as secretary in the Dept. Of Army and from 1957 - 1959 in the office of Civilian Personnel in Washington, D.C. In 1959 she moved to Paris, France and worked until 1961 as Advisor in the USRO/ Office of Defense.
On 3 November 1961 she was married in Paris, France to Col. Lee Miller who proceeded her in death in 1987. She and her husband spent 21/2 years in Munich, Germany where he was Commander of the Southern Area Command. Upon returning to the States in 1966 they made their home in Flagstaff.
She was an avid arts and music lover and a longtime quilter. She is survived by a brother, Dr. Thomas Shokley of Germantown TN and 2 nieces and by many neighbors and friends. She will be greatly missed.
