Jeanne Ignace Haylett, 40, died May 24, 2009, in Dolores, Colo.
She was born March 29, 1969, in Phoenix to Robert and Donna Ignace. The family moved to Flagstaff in 1975, where she lived until her death this past weekend. She was the fourth of five children -- she had three older brothers and one younger sister. Many say she developed her strong character as a way to deal with her brothers. She was definitely a "daddy's girl." Mrs. Haylett graduated from Coconino High School in 1987 and then attended travel agency school. She worked in the travel agency field for a few years, followed by many years at WL Gore, MSS and Interleukin Genetics. She spent the last several years working with her family at Ignace Brothers Inc.
She was active and enjoyed snowboarding, wakeboarding, water skiing, riding quads and lifting weights. It was while working out at the gym that she was introduced to her husband, Darin. They were married in 1990 and welcomed their daughter, Kendall, in 1999. Sadly, Darin died in 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Kendall; parents Robert and Donna; brothers Robert Jr. (Joanna), Darrel (Kelly) and Neal (Julie), and sister Amy (JP), all of Flagstaff; and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was admired for her independence, tenacity, laughter and unfailing willingness to help anyone. She will remain in the hearts of family and friends forever and will missed more than words can convey.
A public viewing will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. Fourth St. A funeral service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Flagstaff Tabernacle, 1201 N. Kaibab Lane, with graveside service to follow and a celebration of life at Flagstaff Tabernacle directly afterward.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Jeanne Haylett Memorial Fund for the benefit of Kendall Haylett, BBVA Compass Bank, ATTN. Andrew S. Wykstra, 2 E. Birch Ave., Flagstaff, AZ, 86001.
