Richard L. Harris , 73 of Flagstaff died at home on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 with this family near his side. Mr. Harris was born in Chariton, Iowa on March 23, 1935 to John Paul and Mary Elizabeth (Frantz) Harris. He served in the United States Army, in a tank division from 1954 to 1962. He continued to serve in the National Guard in Flagstaff as a military police officer. Before retirement, Mr. Harris worked as an electrician for FUSD for 20 years.
Mr Harris is survived by his wife Michelle Harris; daughter, Amanda Harris of Flagstaff; sons, Mike (Barbara) Harris of Flagstaff; Sean (Connie) Harris of Wyoming; brother, Charles Shearon of Bakersfield, CA and 3 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 9:00 am at the Citizens Cemetery Veterans Section, 1300 S. San Francisco St. An open house with memorial will be scheduled for a date in August.
