Venice L. Chesser, 72, died Thursday, March 4, 2010.
He was born March 2, 1938 in Poarch, AL to John L. and Ruby L. (Bryant) Chesser.
Venice service in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1969 and is a Vietnam Veteran. He was a rancher and breeder of the special Barb horse. Took special interest in those in his community and Native American Indian rights. He was an advocate against violence and cruelty of humans and animals. He believed in God and Country and would often say, "You have to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything." He will be greatly missed by both Family and Friends.
He is survived by, his loving wife W. Greer Chesser, daughters; Angela Chesser, Christine Chesser (Tony) Miller; Katelynn A. Chesser, Alexandra Chesser, Rebecca Chesser and C. J. Chesser, son J.D. M. Chesser, sisters Louise Taylor, Deborah Chesser, Shelia Chesser, Susan Daley, brothers Neal, Ray, Windell, Clayton, Johnny, Dale.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 11: 2010 at 11:00 am at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ
