Offering VideoTributes demonstrates that your funeral home is doing something special for the family… it indicates your level of caring. Your out-of-pocket costs are minimal - your real cost is time. Your largest time investment will be in creating your first few PhotoTributes. We encourage you to include VideoTributes with every service as part of a personalization package. Those funeral homes that are itemizing the VideoTribute fee are charging from $150 to $250.
On a personal note, we encourage you to create a VideoTribute with every service. You’ll enjoy all positive comments from the family and an increase in referrals.
We encourage you to make 3-5 copies of the DVD and offer them to the family at your cost (i.e. time to duplicate plus the price of the DVD itself). Keep one copy in the family’s file in case you get late requests… you can just copy this versus recreating the DVD files.
List the URL (e.g. Web address) of each VideoTribute on each print and online obituary. Include the URL of the VideoTribute on service cards. Create a press release for the local paper and church bulletins introducing and explaining this service. We are in the process of creating a series of sample press releases you can customize. The will be posted to our Members’ Area of the Directors-Tribute website. Once people see a VideoTribute, you’ll find them requesting them….not just for current services but past services as well.
